I often see many HDR shots that have great composition and alot of potential but an overall poor execution. Wether it be over processed to the point of looking like everything wrapped in cellophane or just poorly edited.

This shot from a compositional standpoint (among others) is however, outstanding ! There is so much within the image for the viewer to look over and enjoy. Not to mention that the artist here did a fantastic job of not over processing or editing the HDR effect.

One of the first features of this shot, and perhaps the primary feature of this shot is the waterfall. I really enjoyed how you didn't use an extended exposure and captured the water falling naturally. The rainbow at the opposite corner of the shot does an excellent job of not only adding to the atmosphere of the shot, but also drawing the viewers attention across virtually the whole captured landscape as the eye moves from the waterfall to the clouds and down to the river and rainbow.

The detail and tonal range is to die for, as is the overall soft tones of the image. The HDR effect of course is well executed and adds plenty of additional interest and drama to the photo.

My only complaint is seeing the man made structures in the background toward the top left corner. For me, it kind of threw off the effect of being immersed in the natural beauty of the scene.

Overall, I have really enjoyed viewing this image, and could definately see this as a wallpaper, or even as a print. I hope others enjoy it as much as I have, and I do beleive this is an image that needs to be viewed. Especially by anyone who is into HDR shots <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />
